Nested submenus
Hi, I discovered this extension pretty recently and it just works perfectly! Wanted to say thanks.
My issue is more of a question. I wanted to have a submenu that holds a bunch of commands and switches. As it got bigger, I tried splitting it into categories using separators but it still felt kind of cluttered to me. Eventually I tried creating submenus per category under the top level submenu. The nested submenus were rendered correctly, but once I clicked on one of them the top level submenu collapses. As a result I can't navigate and click the commands inside the nested submenu.
- Command1
- Switch1
- Submenu1 (top level)
|- Submenu2 (nested)
|- Command2
Steps to reproduce:
- Click on Submenu1 (expected behavor is that the submenu expands, revealing Submenu2. This works)
- Click on Submenu2 (Causes Submenu1 to collapse)
I tried using the keepMenuOpen
option on both submenus (I did all combinations) but this didn't work. Of course the documentation already covers that but I tried it just in case.
Seeing that you don't plan to add any new functionality to this repo I was wondering if you can explain whether this feature is doable. I haven't worked with gnome extensions before but I would be happy to try a PR. Any help would be much appreciated.
Again, thanks for this cool extension
