Feature request: add onion skinning
Bug 19500 imported from GNA! bug tracker

Add a feature to overlay the last image taken (at a reduced opacity) on the live view--onion skinning--to make it easier to produce stop-motion animation.
Showing the previous image in difference mode can be handy, too, as it makes it apparent what has and hasn't changed in the scene.
It would take more work, I'm sure, but a feature that showed the last few images/frames in sequence would transform entangle into a full featured stop-motion animation program.

Hi, actually this is the only major missing feature for my purpose (stop motion animation).
Here is a screnshot of Linux Stopmotion, a nonprofessional software:
Thank you!

Add ability to render an "onion skin" from a list of images
Still need to look at how to provide a "difference" mode view, and/or automated timed cycling through images

Hi,
being able to choose a specific image to overlay to the preview windows would be awesome.
For instance I am thinking about replicating some old shots and I would use the "onion skinning" feature to align the new capture to the framing of the old photo.
Keep up the good work with entagle.
