extreme lag on my computer, and a few general suggestions

Hi;
I used entangle a bit, and it's the only software I found (that I could install and that saw my camera), that had the core features I feel any stop motion software needs; namely, easy navigating between the pictures taken, live-view support, and picture-taking from the computer. But entangle lags a whole lot on my computer, which makes it hardly usable (I use xubuntu, and my computer is an Acer, aspire V7).
A few remarks for further releases, to get a friendlier interface or a few fancy but useful new features:
- the transparency between live-view (or last image? I forgot) and the last few pictures is nice, but access to it could be easier (I tend to turn it on and off often depending on which image of the animation I'm working on). A slider to change the opacity would be nice (some people like it 50/50, some 20/80, some 70/30).
- is it possible to preview the animation ? Make it possible to do so at any chosen framerate (I read something about a patch somewhere here, but it looks like it hasn't been implemented yet).
- the possibility to add a semi-transparent image or movie to use as a reference would be cool.
- the same for audio samples.
- I feel like when I tried to change the parameters (aperture, iso, etc.) on the computer, it didn't work (might just be due to the extreme lag though)
- probably related to that was a minor bug I found: when I used the live-view, the picture shape, that was 16:9 beforehand (I made it so on my camera before connecting it), changed to roughly 4:3.
- maybe add a few basic editing functions like copy/paste images at a different place (in case of a loop, for example), or make one last for several frames.
- then rename the pictures when you close the software so that they have continuous numbers (it's useful if you use afterwards a software that can manage picture series).
- in the ubuntu softwares download center, entangle doesn't show if you type "stop motion"; add it in the description?
Well, there you go, what I thought might make it better. Nice job with entangle, thanks!

I had installed entangle from the ubuntu default repositories, which was not the right version. Switching to 0.7.0 fixed the lag, and now changing parameters from the computer works, but the other points remain. The animation preview is included in Jehan's patch, but I can't install it.
