MQTT connection seems unstable

I have the Dahua VTO-2111D-P-S2 integrated with the VTO 2 MQTT docker integration. Via MQTT I have a sensor in Home Assistant for the doorbell button, but the integration doesnt send some sort of regular 'off' status it seems.

And whenever the button gets pushed it doesn't always send the 'on' status, and when it does it stays 'on' for a couple of hours before returning to off.

I've attached a screenshot with 3 days of history from the sensor.
