I'm Ellis, here are some things you should know about me.

My Working Hours

I am currently working a pattern of 4 days x 10 hours from Sunday - Wednesday, naturally this means I am typically unavailable Thursdays & Fridays.

I have a tendency to work non-linear days, but will usually be available between 09:00 - 19:00:00 GMT/BST (UK time), though I sometimes start earlier and will often be around later more sporadically.

I'd prefer if meetings were after 10:00 (AM) UK time. That said, I'm still very happy to meet & communicate in the mornings especially if we have no viable alternatives, timezones being as they are.

Communicating With Me

I generally prefer to communicate asynchronously, unless it would be impractical to do so.

Examples of it being more practical to just have a meeting are complex discussions, urgent blockers, training or mentoring, or anything that would be a lot quicker to explain via a screenshare. I am happy to meet in any of those circumstances, just send me a DM and we'll set something up. I also welcome coffee (tea) chats...

In order of preference, I like to collaborate with:

1. GitLab To-Dos
2. Instant messaging / Slack
3. Phone / video calls
4. Email. I hate Email.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of work I enjoy coding, playing the guitar & drums, and playing video games.
