Migrate Open Outreach D7 site to D8 (columbiablooms.org)
User story
As a newbie,
when I transition from D7 Open Outreach I find that some modules that I need have not yet been ported and some core functionality is incomplete.
I want to migrate to D8 and add new functionality so that my new nonprofit organization in West Columbia, TX, Columbia Blooms, can attract volunteers and money.
Background
Columbia Blooms was held its first meeting on January 21, 2015. We became an official nonprofit last summer. We currently have four projects and are planning a fourth that is the actual location of the First Capitol of the Republic of Texas. There is a city park at that location. It was created by volunteers about 10 years ago. When the park was created it included plants. The plants were not maintained so the City dug them up and replaced them with ugly gravel. Currently the City demands that we deposit $15,000 with them in case they have to do it again. They will not have to do it again. Columbia Blooms will have it professionally maintained.
Like other volunteer organizations in town we want to move our little town forward, but often face resistance from city government. Our new D8 web site would go a long way toward attracting new volunteers and money.
Proposed solution
Migrate from D7 Open Outreach to D8 and add functionality for donations using donorbox.org or something similar. I also need volunteer time tracking and automatically generated email reminders based on calendar content.
Remaining work

The Date Reminder module has not been ported to D8. This functionality needs to be added to the D8 site somehow.

The home page needs to be organized better.
-
FAQ needs to be added
-
Project management & volunteer time tracking needs to be ported to D8 & implemented.
-
donorbox.org or something similar needs to be added
-
All error messages need to be fixed.
-
The overall look & feel of the site needs to be evaluated so that it will attract volunteers & money.
My D7 site is columbiablooms.org. The D8 site can be downloaded from {{image.png}}. The database is at https://www.dropbox.com/s/aqgu372ooustw8s/d8%2012-15-16.sql?dl=0.
