Gaining access to the Paths
Prerequisites: day 3
After the inauguration, visit Katie at the gym who will tell you more about gems. Afterwards, go to your room in The Crowley to unlock the "Organize Gems" screen.
The following morning, speak to Chloe about buying or trading gems, which unlocks the portal in the Basement. During this conversation you can even wheedle a free gem out of her (requires a Charisma check). Go to the basement to take a look at the portal.
Following your first Evoker lecture on day 5, visit the University in the morning(day 6 at the earliest) where you run into Dylan and discuss traveling the Paths. This sets a chain of events into motion ending with you, Katie and Dylan making your first trip into Elsewhere.
After this the ability to visit Elsewhere in the morning unlocks permanently on day 13.
Katie's Strip MMA
Prerequisites: day 3
Katie originally floats the idea of a strip MMA battle at the matriculation ceremony; the first game actually had a check there, so strip MMA was disabled unless you answered correctly. As the game found its voice, I decided to be more permissive, so you can do strip MMA even if you talked about playing for a good bottle of booze.
Katie's a seasoned fighter, and while not as strong as the player she's fast, learns and adapts quickly, and extremely brutal.
There are 3 'strategies' that you can use (brute force, countering, feinting); the trick to defeating her is that your stats need to be high enough. Brute force requires a STR of 10, Countering requires an INT of 10, and feinting requires a CHR of 10. In case you were tempted to just get one stat high enough, trying to reuse a technique will not work (she'll counter your counter), so make sure you use each move once.
After you defeat her, she'll offer to continue the fight on the ground; you've got the option to say no (I'm adding that for all optional events), or get into a ground-and-pound match with her.
If you lose the fight, head back to Chloe at the Crowley, and purchase a bottle of whisky for Katie to get a rematch; there's a CHR check that allows you to get a staff discount.
Katie's Perfect Gem
Prerequisites: day 20
After the Library opens up on University (day 12, at the Evoker lecture), you'll find the Quartermaster there. He's able to sell you gems, but if you say that you need a special Fire Gem for a special girl, he'll offer to sell you a Fire9 (A True Flawless gem, so the highest grade) after day 20. You can't use it yourself, but you can give it to Katie at the Gym. The gem will cost you 500 pounds, though.
Olivia's Ceremonial Magic Lesson
Prerequisites: day 14, purchased at least 1 gem from the Quartermaster
When speaking to the Quartermaster, he'll inform you there's a private library with cute assistant upstairs where you can study in quiet. The assistant (Olivia) has got a couple of discussions about magic, and how she's being stopped from finding the truth. The final conversation is about her discovery of a book on Ceremonial Magic.
Next day when you go to the University, Katie will find you and mention that she helped someone get into the Ceremonial Magic chamber. To the rescue!
The Perfect Black Rose, part I
Prerequisites: Access to Elsewhere, (day 13)
This is the most complex of the optional side-quests, requiring a number of actions.
First, get the erotic book from the Bookseller. You need to pass a CHR test before you're able to purchase it. Bring it to the Coffeeshop and read it twice; this will perk up the Barrista's attention, and after a bit of prodding she'll mention how she's dreaming of someone that looks like the player (except richer and stronger, of course... she really wanted Christian Grey, but he wasn't available). She mentions that she knows it's him, because when he leaves commands he leaves behind a perfect black rose.
To open up Elsewhere, see Gaining access to the Paths. Once you have access to the Random Paths of Elsewhere, look for the card labelled Treasure; when you open one there is a random chance of getting a Perfect Black rose. I wonder what we could do with that?
Head back to the cafe, and read the book again to start getting ideas. You need some pen and paper, which you get from the bookstore (at an outrageous price). Head back to your bedroom, and open your PC. There's a new Browser Icon (the Demonfox browser). Use QuackQuackGo to search for sex toys, and order a vibrator. It'll be delivered to the Crowley the next day, so pick it up from Chloe. Now head back to the Starcucks, and order a coffee. While drinking, you can now set in motion your plan. Come back next day and order a coffee to make sure she's following instructions. Enjoy.
After Black Rose I, you can now read at Starcucks at night, and Jenny serves you your usual coffee for free.
The Perfect Black Rose, part II
Prerequisites: Black Rose I, day 31+
Once you've cleared Black Rose I, Jenny will start serving your coffee for free. She'll also stay open at night, if you ask her. Bring a second black rose to her at night to trigger Black Rose II. I found her almost acting like a priestess here, enough that MC becomes worried he's about to pick up another Chosen.
The Perfect Black Rose, part III
Visit Olivia in the private library following her encounter with the denizens of Elsewhere, then go to Starcucks at night. If she tells you all about the in event in DGN1, you need to come back another time for this quest to trigger. You will also require another Black Rose.
Prerequisites: day 21
She's simple to access, but because she shows up in an under-utilized part of the world, can be easily ignored. To start Bella's Questline, meet Katie at the Grassmarket any night after day 20 (the game will nudge you if you haven't done it). That'll give you a quick introduction to Bella, and her Pack. They'll become increasingly important as the game progresses.
You can then find Bella at the Grassmarket any evening after Day 23. Apart from agreeing to join you in Elsewhere (she's available as a Companion from then on), she also invites you to a night of drinking and strip-poker at the Gym. Wait until that night (it's a one time offer, so don't sleep until you've done it), and you'll get a fun night with Katie and Bella.
Prerequisites: day 44
A couple of days after purchasing the lingerie for Emily, you get the idea to purchase something nice for Chloe. Purchase it in the Browser, wait for next day to have it delivered, then have a shower in the evening.
Prerequisites: day 65, Catgirl Outfit
Since buying nice things for Chloe is obviously the way to go, another purchase becomes available on day 65. Take a shower at night (at least 1 day after purchase) to see how she feels about it.
Swimming with Emily
Prerequisites: day 47
After the outing to the beach, your computer will remind you that Emily's never had a swimsuit, and never learned to swim. Purchase the swimsuit to unlock a date with her next Wednesday morning.
Snowdrop's Troubles I
Prerequisites: Access to Elsewhere, Crowley upgrade lvl 1
Snowdrop shows up once you start upgrading the Crowley (by finding special ingredients in Elsewhere, and giving them to Chloe). You first encounter her at tier 1, in the Evening. Talk to her to advance the story(requires CHA 20), and upgrade the Bar to tier 3 (unlocking night-time sessions) to talk to her again. She'll show up next time you grab a a shower, and offer to help you out with your oversized problem. Accept, and she'll tell you how she's being sexually harassed in Elsewhere. Next time you're in Elsewhere, you'll find her lounging at the Shrine, and she'll lead you to the silly little creature bullying her. She'll give you a Rage7 as a reward.
Hitting the books
Prerequisites: day 60
Visit the bookstore and speak to Diana to find Dylan receiving a book that should help him with his studies. Following that you'll be able to meet him at Starcucks to discuss its contents.
Prerequisites: Access to Elsewhere, Swordmanship 10+
Once you have obtained your new weapon and grown proficient with it, visit a shrine in Elsewhere with Emily in the party.
Sparring with Emily
Prerequisites: day 63
Once Emily is done causing a ruckus at court and returns on day 62, starting the following morning you can invite her to the Glade to practice the sword in a sparring match, with a kiss as your reward should you best her.
In order to stand a chance you require at least 25 in all main stats as well as 15 in swordmanship, although you gain 1 point in swordmanship each time you lose.
To complete the event and claim your reward you need to meet the requirements and the second time you take Emily sparring:
- Feint a misstep.
- Lunge forward
Prerequisites: day 70
After her time on ice, Katie needs some warming up. Visit the Grassmarket at night to help her do so.
Prerequisites: day 80
Drop by at the dance studio in the morning and show Molly the time of her life.
Threads of Love
Prerequisities: Threads of Love
After finding and completely reading the book Threads of Love, it is time to pass it on to your favorite bookseller. Drop by and make sure you recognize a book's proper value, then visit again at night the next day.
Prerequisites: day 92
Maybe you should see how Bella is getting on now that she's hanging out at the gym with Katie? Go visit her in the morning.
Slice of Life events
These are by their very nature random, but some completionists are curious what they all are. Note there are times when they're turned off (before you've met the character, while they're away for story reasons, and Molly has a come-to-god experience in Act II that turns off some of her Slice of Life events)
- Emily, Katie and Molly each have an event in the bookstore
- Emily has an event in Grassmarket in the evening
- Molly, Torman, Olivia and the Quartermaster each have an event in the Crowley
- Molly and Emily have events in Starcucks, in addition there are timed events with Dylan(day 31+) and Akane(day 64+)
There are some rest events that trigger in Elsewhere around the fire, depending on who you brought along. Some are single-issue, others can recur.
- Emily in Elsewhere : a touch of tenderness
- Akane in Elsewhere: 2 events (day 67+)
- Emily + Dylan in Elsewhere : talk to Dylan while resting to have Emily show Dylan how to use Regen (which unlocks his regen power)
- Bella in Elsewhere (recurring) : Bella will show you a shortcut, giving you +5 moves(once per outing)
- Katie in Elsewhere (recurring, after day 30, requires her Fire9 gem) : Recharge the Fire9 blast if you've used it.
As you provide Chloe with special ingredients you'll meet some of the more interesting guests, as well as open up the opportunity to work at night. The following events are currently available:
- Meeting Aoife
- Keith and the team
- Aoife and Keith
- Matthew (day 80+)
- Various interactions with somewhat more unusual customers.
