UltraBASIC

Project information

UltraBASIC is my attempt to make modern programming available to everyone with a fairly simple language based on BASIC from the old Commodore 128's BASIC 7.0, but extended with QuickBASIC's named subroutines, LOGO's turtle drawing, Forth and Fortran mathiness, and some of our own tricks (like auto-dimensioned arrays using a math-like set var=[3,4,5,2,4,5] auto-creates a DIM var(6) and fills it all in the bacckground, on the fly.) and more! Make games... stash your transparent 2D PNG sprites into the asset-store, save them with your program and pull them up, placing them on-screen with a SPRITE command easy as SPRITE "ship" x,y to x2,y2 and you're moving sprites around your screen. You can use your favorite editor, or we have our own IDE written IN UltraBASIC to edit, check and run yoru code, and even bundle it into a distributable .exe file to run wherever you want. Check it out today. UltraBASIC Modern guts. Retro soul.
