Key binding to toggle the mod
I know this mod doesn't support shaders at the moment and that's fine by me.
But what would be really cool is being able to switch between using shaders and using Distant Horizons with a keybinding, right in the game. Say, when you are in a cave you enable shaders, and when you are out exploring you enable Distant Horizons.
In Iris there's a keybinding to toggle shaders (K by default). I don't know about other shaders, but with Complementary this works for me! When pressing K, fake chunks become invisible and shaders are enabled, and vice versa. The only problem is that the fake chunks don't seem to be really disabled, they keep getting rendered, but just invisible. I know it because I get worse performance playing like this, compared to just playing with shaders and the mod uninstalled.
So could you please add a key binding in the game settings to toggle Distant Horizons? You don't need to integrate it with Iris or anything like that, I don't mind pressing 2 keys to switch between Distant Horizons and the shaders. Also, to be clear, the key binding needs to just disable fake chunk rendering, you don't need to stop background world generator or server world caching.
This would be useful even after the shader support is implemented in the mod, since not everyone is able to play with both comfortably, without compromising game performance.
