Smooth brush tears world apart
I found it harder to avoid this bug than to reproduce it, but the easiest way is probably as follows.
Steps to reproduce:
- create a voxeland terrain (I used a heightmap to create mine; mountain like shapes might make this bug more likely to appear)
- select volume as form (though it also worked with blob)
- select a high extent, such as 10 or 12 (it happens more often the larger the brush is, but even with small sizes it sometimes happens)
- I checked the "Round" option
- check "continious painting"
- use the smooth tool a while, moving it fast over the terrain.
Expected result: terrain should be smoothed without casualties.
Actual result: tears that look like the attached images should appear. once it has appeared you cannot get rid of it anymore but only make it worse.
If an "undo option" was implemented that would only be a workaround. However, at least you'd be able to undo the disaster, which is currently impossible. Once this bug appears you need to reset the scene to the last saved state or re-generate the whole terrain. If you are editing a large terrain, the latter option will set you back to zero, so it's not really a choice. So the only choice i have right now is to save the scene after every edit, which is really bothersome. Also this method doesn't go along well with continious painting. I'm unable to edit my terrain like that.
