Ubuntu Touch (ubports) - cursor hard to use

On the recent Dekko 2 that has laneded in OpenStore it is very hard to move caret around while creating new E-Mail. The caret is black (instead of a blue, as in for ex. text field and everywhere else on Ubuntu Phone), there are no "squircle dots" that help to move it and the cut&paste toolbar does not show up.

The recipient, topic etc. fields above are OK.

Side note: headers are also not the same - on button press there is a bit different highlight effect. The headers seems a tad slower then the native ones as well.
