davical server file upload disapppears
I reported this issue against davfs when mounting a davical server (file disappears within one minute):
https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?109389
The davfs maintainer Werner Baumann notes that the server replies the file appears to be successfully sent to the server.
According to the logs the file is successfully send to the server.
This is the HTTP-request: Sep 27 18:35:31 my-hostname mount.davfs: Sending request headers:#012PUT /caldav.php/user/docs/leases/SOME-lease.pdf ...
and the server responds with Sep 27 18:35:33 my-hostname mount.davfs: [status-line] < HTTP/1.1 201 Created
So from now on the file should exist on the server (that is what the server says). It is successfully unlocked at Sep 27 18:35:33 my-hostname mount.davfs: Sending request headers:#012UNLOCK ...
There is no action from davfs2 to delete the file and it should still be there.
But what is strange: In response to an OPTIONS request the server sends this header showing what HTTP-methods are allowed: Sep 27 18:34:33 my-hostname mount.davfs: [hdr] Allow: OPTIONS, PROPFIND, REPORT, DELETE, LOCK, UNLOCK, MOVE, GET, HEAD, MKCOL, MKCALENDAR, PROPPATCH, BIND, ACL
There is no PUT method. It looks like your server is a special CalDAV server that does not allow file uploads. Could you please read the documentation of this server to check whether file uploads are possible.
If you have a second way to watch the files and directories on the server you should do this while you copy a file into your davfs2 file system. Does the file apeear on the server side. If yes, wait abaout one minute: does it disappear?
He notes that: "There is no PUT method. It looks like your server is a special CalDAV server that does not allow file uploads. Could you please read the documentation of this server to check whether file uploads are possible."
Is this the case? Are file uploads supported?
