Clarification: fully specified pipelines
I would like to clarify one thing and would like to see what other performers are currently understanding. So fully specified pipelines are defined currently as:
This is a pipeline description which does not have any placeholder step and have all hyper-parameters fixed.
I wonder, do TA3s really specify all hyper-parameters in the pipeline so that (fully specified) pipeline provided has no free hyper-parameters. I am asking this because for our system we are gonna implement that if we get a pipeline without a placeholder, but with free hyper-parameters, it will attempt to tune hyper-parameters of that pipeline (template) and generate multiple solutions for different sets of values for free hyper-parameters. This will be in fact a consequence of some internal changes we are doing where we want to remove the special case for fully specified pipelines.
So, what are TA3s doing here?
