using external URL instead of IP

I dont have a static IP and mistborn already runs behind a router. For that I would really like to use a domain instead of the external IP when creating new users. I have not found the place to override this setting. Also is there a reason why every connection has its own port assigned? Because this forces me manualy open the ports on the router, I would like to changes this too.
