This is more or less a reimplementation of CuteCom basing on the idea that
  the settings need not to be visible all the time. However the access to these
  settings should be quite easy and not hidden in some settings dialog.
  Therefore, the connection settings can be changed on a panel which slides in
  from the top when needed.
