Looks like we're repeating ourselves

Leaving this issue here now so that it doesn't get forgotten about.

Both in the using_gitlab tutorial and Project 1 description(s) (in the README and on the project), we're literally repeating ourselves.

I propose just removing most, if not all, of using_gitlab.md.
