Symbolic math toolbox

[SM, BitBucket, 2015-03-23] Some numerical problems that occur when certain parameters are set to 0 could be solved by using Matlab's Symbolic math toolbox to simplify the resulting term. The K constant in Michaelis-Menten kinetics is one such example. Setting it to 0 would allow the substrate variable to cancel out.
