Cesar Saavedra

Cesar Saavedra, GitLab Staff Developer Advocate, focuses on AI across the entire SDLC, Continuous Delivery as well as Infrastructure-as-Code and how to apply DevOps practices to managing infrastructure. He is also a co-founder of the Commonhaus Foundation, a non-profit open source foundation dedicated to the sustainability of open source libraries and frameworks. Prior to GitLab, he was a Red Hat Senior Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager for Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), Eclipse MicroProfile, OpenJDK, Jakarta EE, and Quarkus. In addition, he co-authored the book "Hands-On Enterprise Java Microservices with Eclipse MicroProfile'' by PackT. In his spare time, Cesar enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and playing soccer.
