Configure option `--disable-internal-tests` to disable the internal test suite
For Debian packaging one normally run a full build each time (in a minimal sid chroot) including autoreconf
and ./configure
. The rationale is to ensure that the build environment on the maintainer's machine is identical to that of the Debian build daemons. With ccache(1)
and a cache for the APT packages the overhead is usually minimal; however for cryptsetup most of the package build time is spent on the internal test suite. I therefore added a configure option --disable-internal-tests
so we can optionally skip it while we're working on the package. Might be something worth merging upstream. Otherwise, feel free to close this issue.
