Week of 2023-12-03

Planning and Retrospective - Week of 2023-12-03

Goals

  1. Establish the foundation of a weekly work tracking/logging process

Retrospective

Starting this process with this week's retrospective, which while not ideal, is where we're at. I'd rather start with something than not, and establish a process, regardless of whether it's perfect or whether it will last in the current format.

The week was very unproductive, as I struggled with my focus and maintaining my routine. I will be on PTO until next Thursday, which I hope will help me to recenter and recharge. I did manage to complete the bootstrap on gdguat in uspubsecops which was a rather substantial win, but have largely been at loose ends after that. My next priority is supporting the RTO/RPO baseline effort.

As I will only be working two days next week, I'll mostly focus on catching up and preparing for the week following.

Next Week:

  1. Inbox processing
    1. Slack
      1. Review notable updates in slack in broadcast channels
      2. Mark everything else as read
    2. Email
