May I carry on the development of this project?

I have bought a laptop with an ambient light sensor, and I luckily found this nice project from AUR. However, it is long undeveloped and you said that you were unfortunately unable to test the program yourself in the PR#5, (BTW, I rarely use Gitlab. Is there a fork button or do I need to open a new repo at here or on Github)

And also, I want to make sure if the owner of autolight AUR package is actually you? (I may need the maintenance permission of the AUR package if necessary)
