Total/New Player Graphs
Problem Statement
There us currently no way to keep an accurate check on total and new player numbers over time, thus making it much harder to gauge when it might be time for a map reset, or new modpack etc.
Who will benefit?
This should benefit everyone to help them keep track of how busy their servers are and keep track of incoming new users.
Benefits and risks
What benefits does this bring?
- extend functionality for all
What risks might this introduce?
-only thing I can think of is a perforamce impact as more data must be stored and accesased from the DB but i assume this would be tiny.
Proposed solution
This would ideally be solved with a graph that can simply update once every 24 hours (or more if possible!), that shows total player numbers on a server over time, and total new players on the server.
Examples
A picture from what I assume is custom software from a hosting company I used to use:
Priority/Severity
-
High (This will bring a huge increase in performance/productivity/usability) -
Medium (This will bring a good increase in performance/productivity/usability) -
Low (anything else e.g., trivial, minor improvements)
