DNS best practice question

Thanks for a nice repo. I just started exploring it.

What is your DNS best practice recommendation to get this to correctly work with LetsEncrypt?

To be specific: Let's assume this beautiful docker-compose stack is running on say plexbox in a LAN behind a router in a home based setup.

• What should the router config look like for port forwarding from router to plexbox, which specific ports if any needs forwarding?

• Also, what should the settings be for DNS on domain.com, server.domain.com and *.server.domain.com
