Re-design artifact page
The content in the headers of the artifact pages is lacking. I made them like that when I started contributing, and before I had a good idea of the data.
-
"Is ... uncertain?" should probably not be on a new line but more like " (uncertain)" after the value of ... -
Same for comments, maybe with a new line: "Note: ..." or something. -
Material aspects and colors are missing -
Subgenre in the box below the image is missing. In the current database these are the genre comments. -
External resources are broken. Should be fixed, get automatic links and combined with the identifiers. -
Seal no. should move from physical info to identifiers. -
Credits, creation date and modification date should be displayed more clearly. Single line (not in collapsible header) like "Created on {} by {}. Modified by {}, last on {}". -
Inscriptions should be fixed, language should be displayed there. Note that there are also individual inscription pages, beware of overlap. -
Access info could be icons available only for admins. -
Publication can use a redesign (hard for now as the data is scarce). -
"Object type" (genre) should not be in physical information. -
The artifact type should be there though. -
Move referenced dates etc. to inscription (as it is about contents). -
Move excavation, findspot, etc. to "Archaeology"/"Collection" tab or something? The holding collection could be there as well. Possibly add museum number there as well, but keep it in "Identifiers" as well. -
Combine provenience and period as "Origin".
What would be nice is:
-
A list of witnesses and impressions (artifacts associated with a composite or seal respectively). That would need to be paginated though.
