Property Comparison Tool
Residential values are produced using statistical models. The public, appraisers, real estate professionals, and others, however, think about property value in terms of comparables. Using a set of comparable properties to determine value raises a number of difficulties that statistical models do not encounter. Namely, what qualifies a property to be considered a valid comparable to another property, given the level of heterogeneity we see in some areas.
This milestone is about developing a sensible framework for a comparison model. This framework especially will include ways to take two potential sets of comparisons for a target property and adjudicate between them.
