Ideas for teaching open source through poetry/prose creation.
There are at least two famous examples of what I would consider to be open source processes in the history of poetry:
Renku, which is the collaborative origin of haiku - a haiku was originally just a single stanza in a collaborative 'game' of linked verse, where the final line of the previous author would become the first line of your haiku.
Cento was not necessarily collaborative but it was a form of remix and reinterpretation, creating new work by building on the work of others.
There are many other examples of Collaborative poetry in addition to these, so I feel like it should be possible to design a game or a workshop which uses the creation of poetry to teach open source concepts. One issue is that people don't need much artistic confidence to make a collage or put together a zine - these aren't generally seen as having a high barrier to entry. But poetry may be a different matter. If poetry is a little too uncomfortable for people, then perhaps a similar approach, but writing prose could work.
This is where new ideas and links on the topic can be shared and discussed
