Guiding Principles LEAF workflow management should be:
- Connected to object versioning (so that the user is prompted to add a new workflow record when either the content item or the media associated with it has undergone a new version)
- Able to track not only Islandora objects but other content types as well
- Project landing pages
- Simple pages
- Blog Posts
- Islandora objects (including collections)
- Tied into user management and permissions (so that specific workflow records can only be added by specific user roles)
- Made required (in an MVP way ) of all content contributors to LEAF
- Any change prompts provision of metadata; default value provided with just one click
- Made transparent via:
- Object icons
- Faceting of search results and collections
