Pokemon Recall Visual Bug and Duplication

When recalling a pokemon, you can press the recall button again, which cancels the animation (but the recall still completes). However, if you try to deploy the pokemon during the recall animation (even if it is visually cancelled), the action will stop as soon as the previous recall is completed, leading the partially released pokemon to disappear. During the (invisible) recall period, if timed correctly, throwing out your pokemon will succeed, but only visually. As before, the recall procedure still returns your pokemon to it's ball, but the pokemon model that was released remains, with a hitbox. This can be repeated as many times as you want, but resets when the server is rebooted (or presumably when chunks are reloaded.) Reproducing the duplication is rather difficult, but I think the visual component still warrants a bug report.
