(1.7) Lapras riding on land and shifting the rider's position
Summary
In these snapshot iterations, Lapras can only be ridden on water. This is, at the very least, absurd given the presence of ground animations. It would be nice to make him ride on water, albeit relatively slowly.
What are the projected benefits of this feature?
In these snapshot iterations, Lapras can only be ridden on water. This is, at the very least, absurd given the presence of ground animations. It would be nice to make him ride on water, albeit relatively slowly
What could speak against this feature?
A more flexible riding option for the Lapras Pokémon, as well as a shift in the first-person camera position
Why do you think the benefits outweigh the cons?
The rider's view is better if positioned to the side. In the current design, with the rider positioned in the middle, only Lapras's head is visible. Sitting on the side of its shell will improve forward visibility. Lapras's ability to move on the ground will make it more comfortable, even if ground speed is slow.

Additional Information
It's just a bit ridiculous that Lapras can only be ridden on water. On land, it's also capable of moving, albeit slowly.
