Restore not possible from a snapshot booted with overlayfs

You cannot restore a snapper snapshot from a booted snapshot using overlayfs as root is not seen as a btrfs filesystem. This makes btrfs-assistant only viable to restore on SDDM-Plasma snapshots. SDDM-Plasma will boot a ro snapshot without needing overlayfs and btrfs-assistant basically seems to work. I get a notification from btrfs-assistant-bin that "/root/.config/btrfs-assistant-binrc" is not writable. Clicking on "ok" btrfs-assistant proceeds to open. I am then able to select snapshots to browse/restore.
