Launcher core dumps without `export` in /usr/bin/btrfs-assistant
Hello,
I have run into an issue with Btrfs Assistant 2.1. It is the same issue which is described in this comment here: #94 (comment 1905223585) (Note: I opened a new issue because I am not sure if the original issue in that link is related to this or not.) The issue appears to be related to this commit: 34a26f77
The crash looks like this:
❯ btrfs-assistant-launcher
Authorization required, but no authorization protocol specified
qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display :0
qt.qpa.plugin: From 6.5.0, xcb-cursor0 or libxcb-cursor0 is needed to load the Qt xcb platform plugin.
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vkkhrdisplay, vnc, xcb, wayland-egl, wayland.
/usr/bin/btrfs-assistant: line 46: 14844 Aborted (core dumped) btrfs-assistant-bin ${params}
These are the relevant environment variables I have on this system (EndeavourOS/Sway):
❯ echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
sway
❯ echo $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR
/run/user/1000
❯ echo $QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
xcb
❯ echo $QT_QPA_PLATFORM
wayland
❯ echo $WAYLAND_DISPLAY
wayland-1
❯ echo $QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE
kvantum
If I downgrade Btrfs Assistant to 2.0, it works normally again. If I upgrade to 2.1 and replace the /usr/bin/btrfs-assistant
file with the version from 2.0 (with export
), that also resolves the issue.
Thanks for taking a look, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
