+# Introduction

+Advanced Custom Fields is a flexible form of metadata that allow you to include additional information of any kind to your content.
+
+**Field Types**
+
+* Text field – *creates a simple text input. *
+* Text Area – *is useful to store simple paragraphs of text *
+* Checkbox – *creates a list of tick-able inputs.*
+* Radio Button – *creates a list of selectable inputs.*
+* Select – *creates a drop-down select or multiple select inputs.*
+* True/False – *allows you to select a value that is either true or false.*
+* Wysiwyg Editor – *Wordpress editor uses an acronym for “what you see is what you get”.*
+* Accordion – *is used to organize fields into collapsible panels.*
+* Repeater – *allows you to create a set of subfields which can be repeated again and again while editing content.*
+* Link – *provides a simple way to select or define a link (url, title, target).*
