Initial order cost distortion
When opening an order with a company that has no other incoming orders, the costs of the products attached to that order are the entire costs of the company since the product costs are updated as labor is entered.
Tried to work around this in 7bf1953112dfcab65055c5709feed7935f800c62 but alas, I forgot that the product costs are bundled in the order itself...crikey.
What really needs to happen is one of a few things:
- The first order should have costs set to 0
- All companies need to esimate the cost for each product (or at least average volume per-order)
1 is sucky because the company making the first order gets a free ride, and also it incentivizes ordering once with a new company then never coming back. 2 is sucky because it requires barriers to entry and can pollute the results if the estimate is off. I'm leaning towards 1 because it will take less building on my part =].
In fact, yeah, let's do 1. Fuck it. First hit's free ;)
