Epicyon not installable with provided instructions

I have been trying to install Epicyon following the provided instructions to the letter. The outcome is always a running system that does not correctly federate with any other fediverse service (even Epicyon)

While I tried running it behind an Apache Reverse Proxy which could have been causing the issue, I also installed it behind Nginx and got the same result. Asking and searching around in the Fediverse I got reports from other people experiencing the same issue.

I think the documented instruction might not be up to date. Please create a new test install to check where the problem lies.
