Logging into proxmox as root & Creating VM ranges on diffrent storage pools

So I deployed Ludus on a dell r630 for initial testing with the goal being to utilize Ludus for my entire proxmox cluster to deploy and manage VMs via the automation offered by Ludus. However I am running into some issues. I am able to deploy ranges no problem but can't seem to be able to get creds for the proxmox root user. I need to be able to access root in order to create a ZFS pool on which i want to deploy my VMs. Currently when i attempt to create a storage pool as an admin user i get the following error: Permission check failed (user != root@pam) (403). Additionally while checking the settings for the ranges it seems I was not able to find a way to specify what storage pool the VMs should be deployed too. Is this something that is currently supported?
