Profiles behaving weirdly
I think since version 3.6.0 (or 3.6.1) I am having issues with profile resetting or randomly applying settings on reboot.
I noticed that my fan curves and turbo settings are often applied to several profiles instead of just the active one and that these settings don't persist across boots. The only way to set the profiles correctly, is by editing the asusd.conf, but even then, settings don't persist across boots.

To recreate, simply try to adjust setings with asusctl profile -t
or asusctl profile -C
commands.
The commands worked properly in prior versions.
Edit: Updated to 3.7.0. The overwriting of asusd.conf seems to be resolved, but asusctl profile
command still behaves unexpectedly. While it appears that settings options with asusctl profile "profile_name" -t
or asusctl profile "profile_name" -C
now works as expected, if I try to switch to a different profile with asusctl profile "profile_name"
, the settings of the previous profile are copied over? This does not happen with asusctl profile -n
, so for now I'm using that command to switch profiles.
