Changing the power profile disables CPU boost on G14

Whenever I change the power profile using asusctl -p, the CPU boost is disabled (observed through /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/boost). This is regardless of the selected power profile. I have a GA401IU-HE001T and use Manjaro. This behavior has been observed on the 5.8 Manjaro as well as 5.9.0-rc7 mainline kernels.
