Feature request: support for different CODATA versions for physical constants
Are there any plans to adopt different values for units?
The CODATA (http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Constants/) 1986 standard in ase is getting ever further from the most up to date values for physical constants (latest is 2014). Unfortunately, just adopting the latest values might not be enough since various codes that ase interfaces with use different revisions. For example Quantum ESPRESSO is using the 2006 constants, and CASTEP can be compiled to use any of them from 1998 to 2010. Additionally, GPAW has been built around the ase units module, so that might be difficult to change.
Some method to choose the version of the constants would be great. Maybe even make it possible to change them on-the-fly with some fancy decorators or context managers for if different bits of code need different revisions...
