Jiggle runs slowly over remote/VPN
From Valerie:
It's come to my attention that running jiggle "remotely" is super slow. As a result, if folks are teleworking, they run jiggle on their workstation in the office and remote desktop in to the workstation from their telework site. SCSN is about to have a new fully remote employee who will spend most of their work time using jiggle and not ever be in the Pasadena office. This has raised a couple of questions for us:
• What is causing the slowness of jiggle when run remotely?
• Is there anything we can do to speed it up?
o Suggestions that have come up so far are: run jiggle in the cloud near our SCSN AQMS instance; use a virtual machine; continue with the remote desktop option (super sub-optimal for the remote employee who at this point won't have a workstation in the office).
