Create website for AppArmor (via Gitlab Pages)
Currently AppArmor does not have a website of its own. As discussed in FOSDEM with @jjohansen and @cboltz, the domains apparmor.net and apparmor.org would potentially be available for a website.
I suggest to utilize the Gitlab Pages feature to create a simple website for AppArmor. Gitlab Pages also supports custom domains.
Why: more visibility, more contributors
As AppArmor will ship as enabled by default in Debian Buster I assume that the interest into AppArmor will grow, and people will be entering "apparmor" into their favourite web search engines. Currently the first hit is the Wikipedia page. For the AppArmor project it would server better if the first hit was the AppArmor project's own website with up-to-date info and most importantly a section on how to contribute to AppArmor itself, or how to debug and contribute to the profiles.
I volunteer to make this page, or at least parts of it.
What: project info, usage docs and contribution docs
The contents can be a static dump of the wiki (partially or whole), or something custom made for the purpose, showing basic project info, some tips on how to contribute and maybe all manpages in a browseable format.
How: Static page generator
Gitlab Pages only serves static HTML pages, but via a custom .gitlab-ci.yml script almost anything can be used to generate the static pages.
Examples:
- plain HTML: https://gitlab.com/pages/plain-html
- other examples: https://gitlab.com/pages, with the Python ones being:
