Allow the folders for images and attachments to be siblings of the pages folder
Instead of requiring that images and attachments be stored inside of the assets folder, it should be possible to place these folders as siblings of the pages folder. This reduces the depth of the hierarchy and feels more comfortable for simple sites. Here's how that would look:
modules/
ROOT/
pages/
images/
attachments/
partials/
examples/
The reasoning for the assets folder is that these files get copied directly to the output site. Files in other folders either get processed (pages) or weaved into the pages (partials and examples). However, this distinction may be rather obtuse to the author at the cost of increased organization complexity.
We will still pick up files stored in the assets folder. However, if both locations are used, the behavior is ambiguous (last wins).
