Enable align="left", "right", "center" in the Asciidoc block image macro options
From a topic request that Dan Allen solved at https://antora.zulipchat.com/#narrow/stream/282400-users/topic/Help.20with.20image.20placement.20and.20adjustment:
Current Behavior
Currently, in a block image macro, even though the align= parameter is supposed to have an effect according to the Asciidoc syntax, align= does not have an effect, and defaults to center alignment. For example:
image::IZA500G-user-guide:IZA500G-FIG-001e_FrontPagePhoto.png[Picture of Camera,width=150,align="left"]
Reason provided by Dan: The stylesheet in the default UI intentionally ignores the align on the block image as a way to promote consistency.
This is becuase the default UI css has this:
.doc .imageblock,
.doc .videoblock {
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
align-items: center;
}
Desired Behavior
The align="left", "right", "center" options should work. The left and right options would be accomplished by adding the following css:
.doc .imageblock.text-left {
align-items: flex-start;
}
.doc .imageblock.text-right {
align-items: flex-end;
}
Additional css may be needed to add the "center" option - which is the default if no "align=" is used - but "center" should be added for consistency. Thanks
