Support for other formats
Hello again,
I find myself in the position of wanting to create webm screencasts. Converting from a gif works ... but the final result is far from ideal.
Looking at the variables avalible it seems like gif-screencast can almost support me switching out convert for ffmpeg save for a few hardcoded parameters in gif-screencast--generate-gif
(like the .gif
file name)
If you'd like to bring webm support to this package (which would be brilliant!) this answer https://video.stackexchange.com/a/25001 may be useful.
Ideally the encoding settings could be converted to a plist where the keys are different output formats, and the overall output format is selectable. This would be a bit of a 'stretch' goal flags = '("-a" "-b")
, new: flags = (:gif '("-a" "-b") :webm '("-c") :mp4 '("d"))
)
