Failed to configure log handler

Hi,

I have having this issue regularly. I suspect it's when the log file rotates. I am able to fix it by following the troubleshooting instructions which I have quoted here:

"Failed to configure log handler Make sure the log directory is write-able: chmod -R 777 /home/allianceserver/allianceauth/log, then reload apache/celery/supervisor/etc."

So, the question is, what is the root cause? How do I stop this from reoccurring? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
