I’m Alex, a Senior Product Designer based in Australia 🇦🇺 (UTC+10), working remotely at GitLab in the Plan: Knowledge group.

I design experiences for complex, large-scale products — often in ambiguous problem spaces that require close collaboration across product, engineering, and research. My work focuses on turning technical constraints and unclear requirements into clear, usable product direction.

What I work on

• Product design for enterprise-scale platforms
• Knowledge management, documentation, and async collaboration
• User research and discovery in complex domains
• Design systems and cross-team alignment
• Prototyping and iteration (primarily in Figma)
• Front-end–aware design and close engineering collaboration

How I work

• I prefer written, async communication for most discussions — it helps me think clearly and respond thoughtfully.
• I value sync conversations when problems are ambiguous, alignment is needed, or feedback quality really matters.
• I’m generally available in my evening and occasionally in my morning to collaborate with EMEA and North America.
