ABP | "Extension failed to load properly"
Environment
- OS version: Windows 11 64 dev build 26063
- Browser version: Chrome 124.0.6341.3 dev build
- Extension version: Adblock Plus development build (Manifest v3)
- Last working version: TBD
Steps to reproduce
Load the extension.
Observed behavior
The following error is shown when the extension is loaded (even after reinstalling):
The extension failed to load properly. It might not be able to intercept network requests.
Expected behavior
No error should be shown when the extension is loaded.
What to change
- Set minimum supported Chrome version for Manifest v3 builds to "124.0.6367.18"
- Update minimum supported Opera version for Manifest v3 builds respectively. This can be adjusted to only reflect the major browser version, which we'd expect to be based on Chromium 124, since Opera tends to ignore whatever minimum supported version we specify anyway (see #1215 (closed)).
- As needed, this change should target a "feature-*" branch in order to hold it back until the Adblock Plus 4.0 release to not interfere with our development builds.

Reproducible?: The user can reproduce the issue. I cannot reproduce it in testing.
