[TESTING] - Chip heater long term adhesion & uniformity
Intro
As explained here, the ITO uniformity issue has been settled. The conductive glue of the copper foil has been proven unreliable for long term applications required for the mission which is why we'll use the circuitworks conductive epoxy instead.Task
To verify long term adhesion of the epoxy we'll test the ITO uniformity every month for 2 years. Test the device at 1.8v, record the video and the current. Initial tests showed 0.16A both with the epoxy and the conductive copper foil tape. Different samples need to be prepared too to ensure repeatability and to document the error margins of the process.Heater needs to be tested in representative voltage, which is 12V (100% duty cycle) and in the freezer for a representative environment.
