Create imaging setup - Dino-Lite microscope

Description

We are in the amazing position to have one more microscope in the lab, this time a proper, yet small, fluorescence microscope from Dino-Lite. The model is AM4515T4-GFBW. The idea is to use this microscope for all live cell (fluorescence) experiments (with and without a chip) and also use its high magnificaiton (400x) to get close-up views on (~2) chambers.

It should arrive shortly. We need to do the following:

  • Quickly inspect it
  • Make a 3D-printed sample holder, similar to what was done in acubesat/su/microfluidics#27 (closed)
  • Create an enclosure to have everything in a "isolated" environment (maybe from Plexiglass)
  • Think about temperature control systems to do live imaging. A old issue is acubesat/su/microfluidics#11 (closed) and we want to keep our cells at 30 degrees while they are growing.
  • In the future (not that long-term) we can also think about a motorized setup to scan an entire chip periodically and image 2 chambers in high magnification every time. These are indeed cool times.
