Facebook: Authorized agent cannot perform data access requests; account owner needs to do it
I inquired by e-mail how the Facebook authorized agent process works under CCPA, as I was unable to find any information about it on their website. Last week I received the following response:

Hi,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Consumers can designate authorized agents to submit requests on their behalf, but in order for us to verify the identities of the consumers who have made the requests, the consumers must log into their password-protected Facebook accounts where they can use the self-service tools that allow them to access, download and delete information we have about them.
They can access specific information about their activity on Facebook, including their posts, photos, reactions, comments and messages, as well as other information, through the Access Your Information tool: https://www.facebook.com/ccpa/access_your_information/
They can also download a copy of information they’ve provided to Facebook using the Download Your Information tool: https://www.facebook.com/ccpa/download_your_information/
To delete their Facebook account at any time, consumers should visit Deactivation and Deletion in the Facebook Settings: https://www.facebook.com/deactivate_delete_account
Consumers can also choose to delete certain information on their Facebook account at any time. To learn how to delete things on Facebook, they should visit the following Help Center article: https://www.facebook.com/help/505287739528816?ref=cr
Consumers can also access information about the interests we use to target ads to them in Ads Preferences (https://www.facebook.com/ccpa/ad_preferences/), and they can manage or disconnect the information that businesses and organizations share with Facebook about their interactions on apps and websites by using the off-Facebook activity tool (https://www.facebook.com/ccpa/off_facebook_activity/).
They can also learn more about how we collect, use, and share information by reading our Data Policy (https://www.facebook.com/policy.php) and California Privacy Notice (https://www.facebook.com/legal/policy/ccpa).
Thanks, The Facebook Team
This appears to be a description for how consumers can perform self-service, but not how authorized agents can do it for them.
