GUI needs to check the version of node.js prior attempting to use it

We found out from a user that the GUI does not run on v 0.12 of node.js and does not give any useful error messages. The GUI needs to set a minimum and ensure that it doesn't run Stats if the minimum version isn't met. I don't know the minimum version--that needs to be investigated.
